Cafe Grab Handles on back of seats

Truly miserable job getting those off. After cutting holes in the bottom of the seat my arms still couldn't reach high enough, the studs were about 5 inches long so couldn't get an air ratchet on it. Seemingly simple job that turned awful. Anyone else go through that?

Having handles and swim platform powder coated so wanted to get them off.....

i have done it twice & yes it is pain in the ass. i was elbow deep turning the wrench blindly.

God... seems easier to remove the seat, tape the whole thing off, and paint the handel lol...

Sounds like a job for thru rachets. Many companies make them now. I have the Craftsman.

They (many companies) make electric and air ratchets this way now too.

Yes - my arms were sliced to pieces!!

I knew there had to be a good tool for it but didn't want to go out so I just struggled with it. I also cut about 2 inches off the studs once I got them out so they can go back on easier.....

I still might go buy a set of those before I put it back together
