Back to the Cafe Racer....

I assume we're talking about the "Special K" boat. The info you posted about motors is what I've heard from multiple sources too. Other than that I cannot confirm it myself.

The boat has pretty much been the Snuffleupagos of Cigarettes on Grand Lake. One might get lucky enough to see it once every 2-3 years. No one knows who owns it. Owner is like a secret agent spy that never existed.

I idled out of Duck Creek beside it the night of the fireworks show there. That was the first time I had seen it since we had one of our Cig runs on Grand about three years ago. We were gathered at Ugly's for the run and the boat was actually there. Come to find out it was just a coincidence and the owner didn't know about the run nor did he run in it. He just happened to be there by accident.

I think the unknown and mystique behind the boat is what makes it so intriguing.

I ran him down in ol' red once and tried to race bricks, he had a family load and did not play. Tied up with him once. Can not recall his name but a nice guy. 55k is not a bad price.

Take the Special K graphics off the side of the boat and it is quite the handsome ride.

Tank, Its been a long time but this one was done during my Derebery days. The engines are 540ci with 500EFI Intakes and E-Tops. I have pictures of it somewhere. Then, it was a neat original boat with a little bump in HP.
