Is it still "seat time" if you're actually on the headrest? :)
Must be hard to tear oneself away from the girls but boating is worth it and you get used to your boat a lot quicker without distractions.
Lookin good!

Inside flat water running = on top. ( struggle to see jetskis and small craft just sitting and the dropaway seat doesn't work currently)
Offshore unpredicable running = seated.

Only having fun, I'm sure you know the difference between the Broadwater and the real water outside.
Take care and enjoy!

look under the seat there should be a pin on each side. pull those pins and the seat bottom will drop out.

Im guessing you're not in the States ??

1,200 rpm @ idle is pretty high......I think at a true 2000hp with a 1.5 gear and around a 30p prop you should be touching 80

would have thought closer to 90 than 80

Okay 90............point is, it takes big power to push those fully dressed flat bottoms through the water

Don't I know it i push one every weekend lol, getting 90 with my #4’s and some stout injected gassers not making 1000 ponies so figured this guys hot rod with 1000’s and 33’s should run mid 90’s easy

Thanks but its the hydraulics that's not working, I couldn't see a manual pin. Its going in for a cockpit refit soon so will fix at same time.

Sloppy. The comment about the jetskiis is bunk. Lower freeboard than mine and I have no problem seeing when I’m standing. Your boss is supposed to be 6’ tall. Poor excuse for a stupid decision.

Take the boat to BrandX and have it fixed correctly. Call Tres or Brad and learn to run the boat. If he doesn’t want to take the class I’d be happy to run it for him.

Whatever Crown! Its not comfortable to stand in front of a seat at any speed that doesn't drop away and seated cant see squat but thanks for your opinion.

I would have to agree with crownlpx on this one. In the first video maybe he didnt know. Or was just a stupid move in the moment. We all had them the thing is you have to learn from them. But in more then one video thats just stupidity in my opinion. If the seat is broken then fix it. It don't look like he is to broke to have it done and could be done in a day. I'm sorry but it don't take much to up set these types of boats. Spin a prop or blow a drive and that boat can and most likely will hook. We have all seen it.

Pay the money take the course and learn how to run and respect that boat. Or it will kill someone

rak rua 03-06-2018 09:05 PM

Sorry if my comment has sparked some criticism. I actually agree with what was said but this is just a fun forum, the point has been made. If you care to search this guy on the internet a bit, I don't think he's someone that will get upset over our comments but more likely just do his own thing and not care too much.

R.E. driving courses/training, all very good ideas but some of you may not have noticed, this boat is based in Australia and I doubt there's anything like a Tres Martin performance boating school, there.

I still like the vids, thanks to the OP and 'The Candyman'. Take care.
