the thing about the tanks on them is if they are original, they have a bump out that leaks, also on an incline original hoses will split so gas can run out of them, just be safe, fumes are nothing to mess with

Thanks, hopefully it is something as simple as a hose, but either way it will be fixed before it goes back on the lift.

Starting to think if it wasnt for bad luck we wouldnt have any luck at all.
Hope its something easy......and cheap. At least you will have a kick ass shop to work on it. -shane. |

Dan, were you able to pull those up and out like that? Or did you have to remove the bulkhead in front of the engine and pull them out the rear? (It may be different in a "gun")

not sure how long bladders last but honestly if I ever had to do surgery and replace tanks...I’d be tempted to cut the tops of the tanks and slide in bladders. Atleast the next time you change them out 6-10 years it’d be a simple job. |
Offshore, I see you did not put the bump out back in your new tanks, how much volume did you loose. Also, where was the leak, was it rot, or a broken weld. My glass guy says depending where the leak is, he may just want to do the one tank, but I am going to tell him to both. I am so sick about this, that I only want to do this once.
