Yes, I saw that your a service director in a past post. I miss the business a little but I don’t miss the problems that come with it. Can’t find good techs, always putting fires out with customers and the sales department. Getting a phone call after the shop was closed because a salesman hit the lift controls in the shop floor and now a car is hanging off the two post lift. Plus trying to keep your CPL hours up with these newer vehicles that don’t require much maintenance. It’s a battle. lol!!
Getting back to the good stuff, Yes, I’ve had the boat up to 72mph. I was out last Saturday, the air is getting a crisper here in NY. I looked at the GPS and didn’t realize I was running 70mph. The boat still had more to go but I was running out of room. I think I could have gotten a little more out of it.

Yeah, 25 years in the car biz so far. I won't lie, it's definitely been a challenge but I've been blessed. But yeah, customers don't get better with age like fine wine does lol...

I'm sure she'll run better in the salt a tick or two more and at sea level. We were around 11-1200 ft. here at my home lake in the hill country of San Antonio. She should have Bravos on her not 6's unless someone blessed her with some stupid power lol.

Hossman, yes the boat is still the same. Bravo 1 outdrives, 26 pitch props and the same engines. All turn key reliable stuff if you done abuse it. Thanks for posting those pictures.
I replied to Speedy earlier about the 2000 35 Cigarette called Mayhem. That boat had the number 6 drives on it and Pat Musi blower motors. I’ve heard it ran somewhere around 110 mph in its day.

Somewhere along line with different owners the trailer was sold off. That’s a nice looking trailer. Wish it came with the boat.

Very nice Scott, looks like a clean boat. I just sent your post over to a friend of mine. I know he’s looking. Best of luck.

Dont worry about Salt Water. Just do what you’re doing with flushing, and you will be fine!!

Check out the CP Performance closed cooling kits. You will sleep so much better.

enjoy the boat, looking forward to seeing pictures…..

Thanks Seafordguy, I appreciate your input. I’ve looked online at CP Performance and Hardin Marine in the past. Installing a closed cooling system is something I’ve been considering. In the meantime the engines are flushed with salt away after every use.

Yeah, the guy I sold it too at LOTO had a hoist so he sold it. It was a newer Alum. trailer too...I think Maximusxxx put it under it before I bought it. DAMN! She still looks great! Special place in my heart.

Eric00TG 09-04-2025 08:38 AM

Yeah, I wish I had that trailer. It would be great to make a trip back to LOTO for the June Cigarette rendezvous. It’s about 1100-1200 mile trip, not too bad.
The boat still looks amazing. It had a few gel coat chips and two very small interior tears. It’s all repaired now. The rest of the interior still shows very well. The next time I have the boat out I’ll take a few more better pictures.
