V wind deflectors??
Having the low slung V type windshield on my '82 Mistress creates a must for goggles unless you like the wind (tunnel) in your face effect.
Any idea's on how to deflect wind? ....For instance, the straight across windshields of the gun's aerodynamics lends itself to an easier way to deflect wind over the top......but, the V windshield??? any thoughts would be much appreciated!https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...7a38ea774b.jpg |
My Donzi has a similar windscreen that blasts the air direct in your face. First trick is to wear flat sunglasses like Ray-Bans. Wrap-around glasses put wind right in your eyes for some reason. I use wind-aways for cool days or long cruises and we use headphones sometimes.

I have always liked googles when driving my Velocity 280 in the stand up bolsters. I had two pairs, both smaller googles that were no larger than most sun glasses. One pair was tinted and one clear.
that is a beautiful boat and I love the looks of the windshield. Padraig |
Thanks for the info and compliment!.........I was thinking of removing it and fabricate a straight across windscreen with wind deflector built in.

Scippy, I saw a set of these on a boat and they were very nice. Also no drilling to install.
Very nice looking boat. Good luck https://windaways-texas.myshopify.co...wind-deflector |

I bought the windaways for my fountain and they work great. I got the 24" and they clamp to your windshield frame.
|
I bought these and they work great. I would get the 24" not the 18" ones I got. They still work great!! Let them know you need
"upright brackets" for you windshield |
So 24's it is!....Thanks.............did you guys get smoke or clear?
|
I got clear just because I run at night sometimes and didn't want to diminish my view.
|
clear, I was told it was better when you drive at night.

guys!
I searched from different tread here, as old as 2004, and in this tread here too ! when clicking links, it looks like those companies are no longer on internet since the links don't lead anywhere... what are the latest existing good product for flip up wind deflectors? |
Possibly looking for some too. The typical ones people bought, as you mentioned , seemed to have gone by by.
Anyone use this company’s ? https://windaways-texas.com/product-...complete-kits/ |
