I really wanted to build twin turbo engines but everyone has talked me out of it they say it will be very hard to get it correct. So sticking with blower engines. Do you guys think think the 8-71 is a good choice ? And if so what do you think about the throttle body injection I’m leaning towards going to carbs as the engines will make for power with carbs any thoughts ?

Eric, Look at what Dan "ICDEDPPL" did with his. The Holley setup looks fantastic, the tech is figured out, and relatively easy to install. He makes really good power with 10-71s??? (I may be wrong here)
I think 5 years ago this was a bigger concern, but now the technology has caught up, price has come down a little, and reliability is good. Seems like less of a frankenstein / tech experiment and more plug-n-play. One thing I do not prefer with carbs is how much fuel they have to run on a bigger blower setup. With the newer fuel injection setups, fuel management & tunability is a big benefit. If you're going thru all this, "why not" go fuel injection? |

I really do love the efi stuff and lives my 575s. Everyone just says it’s a limiting factor and the stick injection can’t hand over 700hp. I lave a bigger cam and with 871 blowers I would imagine I could make over 700hp? Mabye just keep the stock stuff ?whipple stuff a little out of my price range at 10k per moter I have a ton of other things that came up in the build as we all see lol. I’m going to look into that holly stuff. I’ll reach out to dan and see what he says.

Dan is running bigger power, 900hp? The Holley EFI stuff replaces a carb setup. I doubt it has limitations untils you get over 1,000hp? I'm not well versed, reach out to Dan. I do not think it was $10K/motor....

I think I the holly stuff will support a ton of hp. My stock injection has limits tho. I think the limit is around 700 ho on the stock throttle bodies. On the Holley stuff what the best places to purchase from and get info from ?

Yes seems carbs are way cheaper carbs are about 700 new so that 2800 for all 4. I have all the original 575 efi just don’t know how much power will be left on the table with them .
