I'm like Jesus H! All signs are pointing to abort. My wife is awesome (some of you know her and she really is freakin awesome) and she's like (with out the guilt trip) you can go, you should go but I just can't leave her to deal with all of this while I'm drinking and running around on cigarettes partying for 5 days. Plus, if our dog dies my 10 y/o and 5 y/o are gonna lose their **** and most likely we're gonna need a distraction or something and I just want to be there for them if that happens. So, I gotta read the signs on the wall and heed the warnings. **** isn't meant to be for this trip. Super bummed, was looking forward to seeing a bunch of friends from all over the country but there's always the next year, or even the shoot out in August. For those of you going, post lots of pics! Hope to see you all at the next one.

Looking main channel from the Ledge's dont see much of any debris, weather wise looks great today and tomorrow with another chance of rain Saturday, gonna have a great time no matter what, Kelly ( Payupsucker ) with Tiger in tow was on his way last night, met Mr. B aka Lucky Strike and crew yesterday for the first, going to be a great time.........

Man did I have a blast hanging out with Kelly and Andrea (Payupsucker) this weekend! The Mean Streak had tuning issues that no one could address until 2 weeks from now. As I was down looking the boat over Kelly and Ken (F2 Speedy) approach me and we began to talk about boats. Kelly then offered for Brogan and I to come out with him for the first day of the Rendezvous, which who turns down a ride in a 2000hp+ 42 Tiger? So we went out and it was awesome, beer, boats, and an incredible event. I cant thank him enough for taking us out. Day 2 he then offered to bring my parents out with us, they had a great time since they were bummed out that we were boatless for the week. I will say in two days a real friendship was made between all of us and we will be meeting up again in the future! I still can't hear out of my left ear after Lucky Strike went past us just before Coconuts. :ernaehrung004: Anyone know what happened to the green/black 39 in the pics above? We came up on them shortly after the start Friday with hatch up/smoke billowing from bilge. Smelled hot but did not smell like oil. Glad no one had an arm or a leg between the dock and that 42 Tiger when it tried to remove one of the dock posts at Coconuts. Could have been a worse day than it was for the owner. Man did he smack that thing hard.

Great weekend other than River Daves mishap. Our thoughts are with you bro, and man that had to hurt. I can't imagine having to travel all over the country with multiple fractures.

What's the story of the Cig on its lid on the highway? Wife saw it on FB yesterday morning. I don't remember seeing the boat on Friday. Was this leaving LOTO yesterday or did this happen somewhere else or some time ago? Sorry for the crappy pic. Wife was made to believe it happened yesterday morning leaving LOTO on Rt. 42. |
