There are a lot of factors going on right now and its a big balancing act now of who is going to get flooded and when.
They have been holding water back in Truman as much as they can, but it is WAY full now and they are dumping into LOTO.
They were holding back water to reduce flows to the Osage River which is already high and that eventually dumps into the flooded Missouri River.
LOTO was never meant for flood control. Its just a pass through lake from Truman to the Osage River. LOTO get lowered about 5-6 ' over the winter in prep for Spring thaw and rain then its pretty steady around 659'.
LOTO is near full pool now close to 660' and dumping about the same amount of water into the Osage River as Truman is dumping into LOTO.
Both Truman and the Osage River area are basically flooded and the Osage River is going to get worse for sure and residents have been warned.
The big question......Rain......If LOTO gets hit with a couple inches of rain, the lake will most likely go to 662' which will cause some flooding at LOTO to lower homes at lower elevations. It will also cause even more debris to wash off the shore banks and float into the lake.

The short answer is still..............maybe, but it will still be great event.

Thank you Griff.... It's a long haul from South Florida with 2 boats.
Hope everything straightens out for the run. We will be there!

1047 and 1051 at 6000 on the HP. He said one blower was a little stronger than the other. Don't have the dyno sheets here and I can't remember what the torque was but I think he said mid 900s.
