Carter put Seadeck in my Gun and I really like it. Very cumfy on the feet. Turned out great. If anybody needs if done in this area he is the Man.

How's cleaning it? I hear most say no sweat, cleans nice and easy but some say not so much. What says you?

ZOOM, I spent an hour at a place on the way home from LOTO, they measured everything and 2 weeks later I got a quote for $4000. not including any logos. I wasn`t born yesterday.

Seems most charge $1500-$2k

At 4000.00 I would walk away to. I agree, I was looking for something that can utilize the snaps I currently have. I like the idea of taking it out to clean it.

It hasn't gotten too dirty yet as it is usually just me in the boat. Especially this Covid year lol

The floor looks awesome, I love the way they did the emblem with the red #1. Can't wait to see it complete.

speicher lane 01-23-2021 08:31 PM

Is it considered sacrilegious to step on a logo that perfect even if it is in the flooring?

No problem identifying your boat in a crowd.

Looks great with all the surface area tended to!

apex svt 01-24-2021 01:25 PM

Dumb question. What are these for?

She’s looking good Tank. I see the props are off, trying a new set of wheels?

spring line, dock lines route through them from the anchor point.

Eddienel 01-24-2021 02:37 PM

Looking good!

like Ken said you tie the line to the cleat and then run it through the eye and it eases tension on the cleat.

and yeah, gonna try some 4 blade 28’s and some 5 blades. See what’s what. Not this weekend though. Maybe next time we’re out.

F-2 Speedy 01-24-2021 03:17 PM

Boats turning out great Bud, I ran some 28p on my first bravo TG with 500 EFI's and they worked well, carried the nose a bit and easy out to plane. Are your 96's HO's ?

yeah, HO’s. We’ll see how they do. Barrett wants to try some 5 blades too. So maybe next month we’ll go out and play with some props. I’m actually thinking in a couple years having him build me a couple NA 650ish motors and sell the 496’s. We’ll see.

Removed pic so no redundancy. Bow chocks are the name for them. And use as described already.
Seadeck looks good. Great idea for it on the top of the dash, for getting on to the bow.

Thanks guys. We’re really happy with how it turned out it flows nicely I think.

he measured it all in person. Then ordered it off the cad and then installed it. So it was one guy start to finish with eyes on. Guy did a really good job. Put strips on top of the gunnels where people board and in both the little steps going up the dash too. Thought that was a cool touch.

not gonna make the tow to LOTO this year. Maybe next. But we’re booked and will be there.

and yes. 3 color on deck and cockpit did just two color in cabin. Also did straight lines / teak cockpit and cabin and no lines on deck and dash. Little touches the guy did so it flows well and isn’t overwhelming or to busy.

Well, the work continues. Went to the trailer shop. Trailer needed some love. Standard South Florida aluminum I Beam but it has that dumb bunk over hang. I hate how trailer companies do that. Looks like crap. They pulled the whole boat up on the trailer 18" so getting rid of the overhang. Going to switch to electric over hydraulic and putting all new rims and tires on. Brakes and bearing are newish so no need to do those. Will do all new LED lighting too. But first order of operation was to get rid of the vertical bow stop that was vertually useless and install an angled bow stop and tow strap mount. I did the same thing to our Top Gun trailer and it made a world of difference putting it on the trailer, like night and day better. So, pretty stoked about that. Here's some before pics and current work. You can see how far back the boat sat on the trailer before. I'll get pics of where its sitting when we're out in Havasu next weekend. Also, the rims I'm looking at.

Looks great, you will love the new bow stop and EOH brakes. I like the first wheel option but they both are nice. I am sure it will also pull different with more weight on the tongue, some guys like to push them back to decrease the weight rather than go with bags or larger springs, I have seen a couple of times where the trailer started wagging it's tail and ended up going turtle on them. The improvements will make a big difference.

Thanks. And yeah, I was a little concerned with the added tongue weight but our truck has bags (even set up with 5th wheel tow) and I was told the added tongue weight will take the bounce out of the trailer (it did bounce a lot like woopdy doo bounce over any bumps) and tow way better, so I'm looking forward to that being gone. Win / win all around I think.

87MirageIntruder 03-05-2021 04:23 PM

I like those wheels. I'm looking to replace the old chromies on my triple axle also. Go from 14" to 15" while I'm at it.
