Yea it has dried up. I have seen a few nice redone boats sell. It’s so hard to find places to do any work anymore I’d assume the mid 90s early 2000s that need updates and restoring are going to sit longer these days I could be wrong just a thought. On the flip side the new boats are so expense a fully redone updated boat that is nice prolly could be worth 150k

fair assessment. The restored boats that are up for sale are about $.50 / $1.00 for a” new “ boat. Depending on the extent of the work. That’s a good deal. Plus the 2-3 year wait.

I’m referring to boats with new wood, updates and new fuel tanks, holding tanks, plumbing, etc in them, not re-paints.

Yea. I think a new topgun is like 800k. I have o intrest in selling mine but I would think since there was wasn’t a screw or wire that wasn’t replaced and being new wood , wiring, plumbing, new tanks, new interior, all new electronics and the list goes on when I sit and look at it the boat is new from front to back I guess I wouldn’t take less then 200k. I mean yea someone has to want it and be willing to pay but it’s better then 800k for a new one. There are some nice builds out the there for sure !

old flat bottom cig’s are a tough sell no matter the condition or upgrades…

1. they are old so financing is non-existent
2. they are old so insurance is hard to find
3. cost of capital is expensive…int rates are high!!!
4. anyone who has the capital will opt for a newer ts

Been that way for 10 years. Narrow market for sure.

I see that on a LOT of the older sport boats, some that seem a good price still sit for years.

And yes running with the devil is a LOT of hardware for the price. Looks very clean.
