Why?
As the thread title states?! Seriously, what's the scoop on this boat? Older owner who wanted easy docking and either hates noise or is in a noise restricted area? Weird seeing no external steering, BIII's, and underwater exhaust on a TS TG. Otherwise the boat is t!ts. Adding steering, exhaust, and changing out the lowers would be easy enough though I think the engines might have to be pulled to properly fill in the transom. Would the ECM's have to be re-flashed to disable the Axius or just pull a fuse so the joystick is inoperable? Will be interesting to see if next owner uses "as is" or converts it over to a more traditional setup.

This boats been for sale for awhile now. Think it was well over 300k before pbc listed it. I agree it is an odd setup but easy to drive, maintain, quite at idle etc. Maybe from Europe?

Nice boat, but to have it built that way you would have to plan on keeping it a long time and realize that the resale value would not be good, as it would need a very specific buyer. I also doubt very much that, set up will 80 mph!

Obviously it was built for a specific purchase. I agree on the first thought. It could be for someone who lives/lived in a tight canal, and needed the ability to dock it easily on their lift, without making a lot of noise. It would be a great tender as well; especially with that large cabin. The Bravo III setup lends itself to that function too for ease of getting on plane when heavy. I had 27 people on a TS/TG during the Miami Boat Show a few years back, and it was not easy getting on plane with all that weight in the cabin.
And I think the Axius would still work with Bravo 1 XR lowers, it would just need to be recalibrated. And that exhaust will still make a fair amount of racket when the boat is on plane. |
Great looking boat. Didn’t realize it was an oddball

That boat is easy on the eyes.

If the boat handles and runs properly with those drives (granted with a lower top end) I can see the attraction.

That thing is beautiful, love the colors and paint .
