You want me to tow up the boat so you can ride the harley? I'm fine with that. Stop yelling.

Yes, and bring all three dogs with you.
GotCigs is gonna dog sit for me.

I cancelled my condo today................if it happens I'll still be there.

thisistank 03-23-2020 05:47 PM

Yea it’s not looking good with the hysteria. We have airline credits and works out I can’t book flights until may 26th anyway so that I’ll see then. Hotel and car rental can be canceled a couple weeks out so I’ll keep those until it gets closer. I would suspect this stuff will chill out in the next 3 to 4 weeks.

ICDEDPPL 03-24-2020 11:24 AM

I still plan on coming no matter what .

buck183 03-27-2020 01:12 PM

My daughter and I are planning on going. First time to the Ozarks.

Where should we stay? Can we come sans boat? Are 'prospective' Cigarette owners welcome?

tlark 04-26-2020 08:06 PM

FWIW it appears they are trying to advance some marginal opening if possible from current restrictions on local businesses in an attempt to move forward. Camden County is trying to get guidance at the state level or at least more clarity with current restrictions. If I had to guess its with respect to serving boats dockside at waterside establishments in a limited capacity. While the article doesnt note it before this started I think you could tie up at a dock and order food via server to your boat similar to drive-thrus for cars while maintaining all the distance stuff. At least that would start to generate some income.

lands end is a nice place to stay. Covered docks with large breakers. Plus it puts you in Osage by all the action (if that’s what you’re coming for) about 3 miles by lake to PBC. Dogs days across the bay, backwater jacks 2 miles away.

https://www.kshb.com/news/coronaviru...reopen-economyKANSAS CITY, Mo. — Beginning Monday, Missouri will be open for business again.

The statewide restrictions on social gatherings will be gone and every business can reopen under Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s plan, though the tighter restrictions and extended stay-at-home orders many metropolitan areas have enacted will remain in effect.

It's like 4 weeks out. Anyone have the official word if this is still 100% on? We're booked for car and hotel. About to buy the airline tickets. Just want to make sure it's still a go.

Last info I got was it's still a go. The lake has opened up for the most part with respect to lakeside bars with some restrictions, you could call PBC to make sure but unless some major setback takes place with the Wu-Han you should be good to go.

Knot 4 Me 05-19-2020 08:36 PM

We got down here Monday and other than some table rearrangements it is business as usual at the establishments we’ve frequented so far. Good to experience some normalcy again compared to IL.

SNSTER 05-19-2020 09:21 PM

They just had their spring fun run so I see no reason this won’t go.

ICDEDPPL 05-19-2020 10:37 PM

Not sure why anyone would cancel an event because of this Scamdemic.
Unless you`re a de de deeee

It is still a go and I don't foresee that changing. PBC is too far into the event to cancel this late in the game.

PBC did cancel the Support Our Troops Poker Run which is usually the Friday after the Cig Rendezvous. I believe it was cancelled for a variety of reasons though with Covid19 just being part of it.
PBC is doing an outboards only fun run the following weekend instead.

tlark 05-20-2020 01:00 PM

I didn't go on the most recent fun run a few weeks ago but my neighbor did. Said there were a lot of big Cats. Said they were surprised by the out of towners attendance. Apparently more than a few boaters were gonna keep there rides at LOTO for the near future until there state waterways were open, mainly northern waterways.

WARPARTY36 05-20-2020 02:03 PM

Several guys from Louisiana left their boats at PBC and will be back this weekend to use them. The fun run was a good time.

F-2 Speedy 05-20-2020 02:45 PM

I got an email from Brett, its 100% on

Was thinking of last minute shooting down, but boat is still in parts and pieces. One year!

Have fun all, post up pictures for the less fortunate please.

Hopefully the lake flushes itself out in a couple weeks. There is so much debris floating in the water. It looks like the water level is about to peak so they should be slowing up the dams soon.

Other then Friday-Sunday it’s been a rain fest here. Even Sunday there was about a 20min flash of rain.

Yeah they are. So you get anything from those wood chip grouping, twigs, logs. Sunday was nasty when we ran up to dicks.

tlark 05-26-2020 10:22 PM

buddy of mine lost a lower on a 450 Sat. morning running to the dam, Monday was dirty at the 6mm.

thisistank 06-03-2020 12:00 PM

So, is it me or is PBC not hyping this years run up as much? I keep getting texts from people, "there's no info online about the run." or "where do you sign up?" or "What's the schedule?"

Brett usually is on here giving some details but he's been absent this year. I know people have called and they have confirmed its on so I guess its still a go. Are they just trying to not "over do it" because of the COVID-19 stuff?

And while we're on the topic, does anyone know the schedule? Last year there was a run Friday dinner friday or saturday night and then a run and party on Saturday and then rehab in the pool sunday. I haven't seen anything about a schedule for this year.

I spoke with Chad Braver last week and he said some factory people were going to be there but I mean, some quick legit confirmation on here would be cool. Hell, there's not even anything on PBC website except in the calendar section.
