Tiger length help

Looking at property to build a retirement home and thinking a tiger might be in my future. What size shop would be needed to get one inside on a drive guard trailer and have room to work around it?

I built a 28x60 garage for my tiger and have 5 feet in front and in back but I do not have the drive guard.
Total length on trailer including my drives is 48'

I don’t care how big you build it,it’s never big enough

Thanks--dealing with a 1600 sq ft limit without jumping through hoops or looking far enough out of town to be zoned agricultural.

I just bought a condemned home up the street from me because when I measured the detached garage out back it was 47' 8" long. The tiger on the trailer is 47'1". I assumed it was meant to be so I bought the place. It also has a 16 or 18 inch I Beam across the top of it which I just hung a trolley and chainfall on which I'll unfortunately be putting to use tomorrow to pull an engine - again, it was just meant to be.

New question guys.

Looking at a house that has a "bridge" to go under to get to the shop--what height do you have on a trailer?

whats the height and width of that opening, boats on a trailer will vary on the trailer manufacturer

1960brookwood 07-31-2020 07:09 PM

It's a 10 hour drive to see it in person but I have family in the area-- Judging by a standard door being 7 foot I'm guessing approximately 10 ft high by 10-1/2-11 foot wide. The downspouts could be relocated and I could fall out the door until we get used to the layout--raising the roof???

A SWAG would be very helpful!

My Top Guns under 9 foot to the top of the wind screen on the trailer, Im sure the Tiger guys will chime in

Can't help you until i put it on the trailer. Unfortunately that might be Sunday since there is a hurricane running up the coast. I'll measure it then.....

its about 9'6" for total clearance on a myco with commercial tires.

I have a 10' tall garage door and I have about 6" clearance going under.

For a house like that I'm sure the listing realtor would get those opening dimensions ASAP.

seafordguy 08-05-2020 06:55 PM

Mine is 105" to the top of the windscreen.

Both mine and Robs sit on custom built Myco's. If you bought one on an aftermarket, less "custom" trailer you might need to be careful that it could sit higher......

Thanks to all for your help. This is not the sort of thing that I could find on my own.
Trying to find a retirement home with a little elbow room is turning into a real challenge. Definitely not going to put ours up until the new place is in our possession.
Also appreciate the leads on boats for sale but we need to get relocated first.
