39 GTS Speeds

Anyone know what the speeds of a 39 GTS with triple 400R's should be? Found where triple 350's claim to run 74 ish.

ktron 11-10-2020 08:57 AM

Depending on the load.

Trip 350 72-73 mph
Trip 400 76-77 mph
Trip 450 83-84 mph

My GTS runs right at 69 w/ triple 300’s.

JB do you miss your Top Guns or happy with GTS. Plan on keeping our 38 Gun and adding a GTS to fleet. 69 is plenty fast!

I loved my TG’s, but certainly don’t miss them. The GTS fits perfect for our boating style....great ride, big stereo, low maintenance and you never have to leave a friend on the dock because you don’t have enough room. We’ve done a ton of poker runs and always have a great time. We certainly aren’t the first to the card stop, but we arrive in style, having a great time and usually dock in the front when others are afraid to squeeze in. I still like to go fast, but have friends that have some real fast boats. Most of the time they stay on the lift and everyone piles on mine!

We did a test ride and it was in guardian mode, looked back at wife and asked what she thought. All smiles and PERFECT came out of her mouth. LOL
Thanks for the input JB.

All speed numbers above are accurate. My quad 300 GTS hit 75.2 and the trip 300 hit 71 in salt with little fuel.

BONDO10 11-27-2020 07:14 AM

My buddy has it at Miami Marina so I still get to use it. He is going to charter it. That's a helluva nice charter boat.

Very nice, congratulations. I like the white with the subtle shade difference to highlight the Cigarette script. I can see where the name came from.

Thanks 1Zoom, boat looks better in person. Wife named her "Slow One." Keeping the Top gun for poker runs!
