Received those custom made Delrin rollers for my cabin door and they fit perfectly. I sent him an old one along with the shoulder bolt so he could be sure to get the right shaft diameter. He was quick and the cost was very fair: $44 for all 4 rollers. Here's the details of the gent who made em: Pat Walsh [email protected] 585-402-4351 I advised him to save the dimensions for the next cig owner who comes along. |
Someone messaged me about the roller replacement process so dropping it here in case useful to anyone in the future:
Start by removing the passenger side dash panel (the whole left side which includes the "glove box"). Cut through the caulk line with a razor blade and remove all the screws along the port side of the panel, after some prying to get it to separate it just lifts out and then you have access to the sliding door. From there you will remove the screws which hold the door into the brackets (which also house the "slider" mechanisms) and the door just pops out of the brackets. Finally you remove the screws holding the track in place, after which the tracks and the brackets come out together. Each of the 4 rollers are mounted inside the bracket with a flat head shoulder bolt, the bit in my electric impact driver was chewing up the shoulder bolts and not budging them so I ended up using a vise grip on one side and the broad side of a putty knife on the other and they finally came apart. |
