I tried that and it didn't work. I also couldn't make myself cough while doing it either.

215k for a 2004 38 ft bravo boat baffles me

Drives already due for rebuilds behind 700hp...doesn’t seem to be priced in

H20 Toie 01-08-2021 01:45 AM

Yeah doesn't make sense 5 years ago 2004 to 2005 were all in the $150k range

It was purchased from GSC last winter, it ran around KY lake and Barkley Lake last summer. Only thing I know about the boat, is the guy wont waive at a fellow Top Gun owner on the lake! :D In passing, it looked and sounded good!

kvogt 01-08-2021 08:56 AM

The boat has not been owned by the Searay guy for a year or so. It is back up for sale.

Schweeng 01-08-2021 10:18 AM

No sh t! Doing my homework shows they are appreciating in value. I know 2020 was a record year for many boat dealerships. I’ve heard that from several from all over the country this past summer.

glad they had a good 2020, cuz 2021 is gonna suck balls as soon as companies stop hiring and saving money like they did for the 8 years of obama

I agree completely. That also means the working class’s cost of living is going to go up.

past couple years seemed to be great for boat sales. Not enough good quality used performance boats around due to most manufacturers shutting down around 2008 and the rest doing center consoles. This should hopefully keep them going up in value. Hope to see alot of the old straight bottoms getting re-done. Some say it's not worth it but when you see new 24' bow riders going for over 100k I've rather have an old performance boat. I remember looking at a new Mastercraft in 2014 and they wanted 125k for it, I was like forget that I'm buying a used Cigarette :evilb:

SNSTER 01-08-2021 11:31 PM

Prices have been crazy. I’ve considered listing mine which I never thought I would consider. Then comes the how do you replace it problem though.

Im going to wait it out. Not much to choose from and I think the economy is going to go south for the next couple of years. Im thinking by the end of 2021 or early 2022 there will be more to choose from. On a side note I messaged the guy about the Cafe Racer I posted about earlier. Its a nice boat Im just not ready yet. I think I need some more time and maybe a weekend on one to know if thats what I really want for where I live. Im one of those measure 4x's and cut once. One day Im going to hit one of you up and go in on fuel for a seat on one of your beautiful boats. That will either make me or break me.lol

LS Jr or myself would be happy to oblige you.

You can ride in my Gladiator and then Bobbys Top Gun to compare, that is if he still has his.

He has his eye on a few Skaters and is threatening to sell the Virgin F-2 T/S Top Gun.

I told him he's nuts but you know how the younger generation is!

lucky strike 01-10-2021 08:53 AM

My Gladiator when it was new, and The Virgin now.
