Yeah, that's it, on Florida craigslist. Looks like a fun boat. Looks balanced pretty well even with all that weight.

I want to hate it, but I can’t.

Unfortunately the o/b conversion does check a lot of boxes for making a classic offshore design into a much more user friendly boat (including operating costs) that will still handle "sporty" water and let you run with the big boys.

I never woulda' dreamed up a hardtop on a offshore - not 100% perfect in that design, but not 80% bad either... and it obviously works for the owner's needs

That classic bad azz design is still there and saves the overall look I think it what it is. I totally agree. I want to hate it but can't either. LOL

I really like to see more in depth pics. What they did with the cockpit, engine bay, cabin, etc. How they mounted that heavy azz canopy. Also, what speeds are they seeing?

Of course, I'd also like to see more pics of the 42 Revolution converted to a CC as well .But I can't seem to even find the two pics that were posted on OSO at one point. :readinghelp:

That looks more like an old Scarab hull rather than a Cigarette hull. Neither the Revolution or the 38s had that line 8" down from the rub rail. The Scarab on the other hand does!

I think these projects are interesting, but I’d never do one to a top gun or Apache. There are a lot of other similar but less desirable hulls out there to play with.

You could buy a marlin, Dakota, Gulf Stream or Marlago if you a CC that’s popped from a 36 cig wide body. They aren’t expensive enough to justify hacking up your top gun.

If I were doing the project I’d start with something bigger and wider like the formula 402 or Excalibur.

I love the look of the Apache 41 CC but there was only one made original?

I wonder what that TG looked like before the conversion. I'm guessing it was seriously beat up. ???
