Cigarette - Gear & Apparel

Just logged on to the cigarette store website…Looks like a lot of things have been removed (I.e. cooler, hats, lanyards, license plates, cups, etc.)

always wondered why cigarette doesn’t develop and sell more merchandise. It always sells out and seems to have a massive following.

what are people’s thoughts of new merchandise under new ownership? Think this will be a point of emphasis?

Every time I went to buy something they were out of stock, they could learn something from Harley Davidson

I would be surprised if anything changes. It's not there $ maker and there margins and operational expenses are better served making 1mil+ Center Consoles and $ 3/4 mill+ V bottoms.

bet they can make $500k a year on merchandise while paying a high schooler $15 an hour to run it…doesn’t seem like a bad trade off. Not to mention the brand exposure. Not everything needs to be measured in dollars and cents either. thousands of people wear cigarette gear that don’t own the boat. Similar to Harley Davidson.

kind of a shame…

I do agree and yea its a shame but given how difficult it is for owners to get much help from the factory as non-original owners of any of there products its doesn't appear they have much incentive for such. I think $500k in merchandise sales is pretty optimistic annually unless a 3rd party outside the factory can set up a merchandising program and run it separate from OpaLocka.
