I've only seen one ever. Don't know if it was a custom rig or from the factory. I have re-rigged a 28 open from twin inline sixes to a single 500EFI with an ITS Bravo XR. It's a lot of work but makes a nice setup. There's easy access to all sides of the engine and the engine is mounted lower which aids engine hatch clearance.
One major "con" is docking and turning in tight spaces. Twin engines make that a snap.

Recent ad, says it’s a “clone” which may means it’s just some approximate copy, but it does have the number 1 on the side….🙂

Default 28 Cigarette single

If you are Gregg, we spoke yesterday. My last 28 was originally an old twin small block with TRS's. We converted it to a single supercharged BBC with an Bravo XR upper and an IMCO -2 lower. We used 380 K-planes and of course hydraulic steering. The boat handles great and rides very level. I would highly recommend the conversion.
