2002 35 TS at TNT in Miami
Guys,
I have always said that one day I would own a Cigarette and it looks like I may be making that dream a reality finally! what's everyone's thoughts on this 2002 35 TS that TNT in Miami has listed? https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2002...35-ts-7976356/ I believe this may have belonged to a member on here by the screen name of H20 Toi at some point. If so, would love to hear from you on it as well! Talked to sales at TNT on it and owner supposedly has all receipts for engines and drives and boat is supposed to be brought down to TNT in Miami in a week or so. So first questions I have are: 1) is this an actual Playboy edition or is it a mistress? Don't have HIN yet so cant figure it out by that just yet. 2) Motors were originally HP 500's and Innovation in Sarasota rebuilt them to 650's. Has anyone dealt with Innovation on motor jobs like this? I've heard of them but that's about it. they seem to have a decent reputation from what I have heard. Im guessing with the power thats in it, it should cruise pretty easy at around 60-65mph? Looks like GPS recall in one pic says 90.4 MPH which i would think would be possible in it since from what I have read, with stock 500's they seemed to run mid 80's pretty easy. As for the boat being 35', we are on inland lake, Lake Lanier in GA so it will mostly be a lake boat with possibly an occasional trip to coast for poker run. Our last 35' go fast was a Formula 353 Fastec and I am assuming the ride in this one will be similar to that? I know some will say go for the 38 top gun but my reasoning for thinking about this one is it will fit our lift better, little lighter weight which helps lift and tow ability, etc. Any thoughts and input from your cig gurus would definatley be helpful on this! |
Like you said, Dan owned it for a bunch of years. He's buddies with the current owner as well. Thing has been well cared for. PM Dan h20toie, he'll tell you everything about it.

I have had multiple motors done at Innovation. There are alot of EX Merc guys there and they know what they are doing. Potter is even back there doing development last time I was there. When you get motor back it looks like it left the Merc Factory. Highly recommend them.

Boy do I know the history on this one, probably the only one that I actually know more about than Tank
History of Heat Her Up ( I put the name on it ) its considered a 35 Playboy even thou it doesn't have any playboy emblems. in 2003 they were called Mistress Total of 12 were made TS 35. Couple of them have been destroyed, I believe only 4 had Playboy emblems First owner was Gary (Back then he was Cig dealer in the Oklahoma/texas area) had it built for one of the boat shows out there and then kept at his house at Grand Lake I bought it with almost 40 hours on it, 500EFI motors, it did 85 on a good day. I had it for four years. only reason I sold it was I had a bad car accident and broke my back, thought my boating days were over. Sold it to Bob Perette in Boston, His company designs and makes boats for the Military, I thought I was anal about keeping the boat clean, he is on a whole new level. since they can't boat in the winter he and other friends with boats kept them in a heated storage unit and would just go hang out and go over the boats during the winter, He is the one that sent the motors to Innovation, He was having some heath issues so sold the boat to a friend of his Kevin, Kevin is the one that has it now, also lives in Boston Since every one always wants to compare 35 to 38 The 35 Is actually 35'10" and the 38 is not quite 38' for really only foot and a half difference from the windscreen back they are the same, the cabin is the same. deck is shorter The 35 does not have the cleats half way up the deck like the 38 does ( except the 2003 35 I saw at Loto this year did have them) 35 gets on plane way better than any 38 I have been in ( 35's don't have the notch in the bottom like a 38) 35 has smaller fuel tanks. It runs out at 70 gallons a side ( don't need to tell you why I know that) It handles rough water great, I think it has a sportier feeling than a 38 but not a lot, This boat has no history never been abused and every owner has really taken care of her. I’ve seen the boat around here several times (south of Boston area) always clean and well kept. I think the last or maybe current owner just got a big cat.

Once we get back from Loto shootout on 30th, we will head to miami to check it out and make sure it appears to be what pics in add show it to be. if all is good, will setup survey, etc and hope it all works out so we can bring it home and I can cross one more item off my bucket list! I will keep ayll posted! |
