she’s still got a ways to go but I’ve been dreading the job of getting all of the flaking clear coat off of her top side and bottom side but after many hours pressure washing it all off I got nearly 95% of it off. She’s coming along a little at a time. If time allows might try to do a quick test splash if the weather allows!

Post #143. I notice your Pittsburg hoist. Did you have to modify anything on it to get it that high or is that an optional hoist? The I beam across the top is a nice addition also.

man this thing has been one heck of a great asset for me around the shop!! It does telescop 12ft tall with crank handles on cables on each side. The only down side to it in my opinion is it’s only about 7’8” wide out of the box. This weekend though I made it just shy of 12foot wide to accommodate some of my other boats I own! I got about $1,400-$1,500 wrapped up in all of it now putting the new wider beam on it included ( got beam from my local scrap yard ). I almost opted to go with the electric hoist instead of pulling chains but I like the chain hoist ( 1.5 ton ) as I can make very small adjustments up or down with unlike the electric one you don’t really know what it will do after a touch of the button! LOL

Ready

I have everything ready to go for a test splash. Got to fire back off and test steering and possibly bleed out any air etc and just do one more good check of EVERYTHING before she pulls out of the shop maybe this week! Fingers crossed! She’s not as cool or as nice as any of yalls but I’m proud of this roller coaster of a boat LOL

Thanks for the insight. Next time I need to pull motors, I will likely do the same. For what you have in that is about 1/2 of what shops around here charge. They can do it 10x faster than me, but their rates are basically fixed. Sometimes they make out sometimes it takes them longer and they break even.

its 100% worth it. I put the engines in completely by myself it rolled well to get in position with the engine hanging on it also just make sure said floor is is clear of any obstruction one little bitty pebble or a zip tie will stop you ask me how I know LOL
