I try not to comment on prices…

im sure people are thinking why the hell im selling my boat for 79k thinking it’s way too much.

🙃

Wildman_grafix 03-06-2023 06:57 PM

I don’t comment on prices much, but time will tell.

I see some boats I think are a little high and they are still for sale a year later.

Thats when you know the price is not right. If this sells well someone didn’t think it was high.

Looks nice and well done.

ICDEDPPL 03-06-2023 08:07 PM

He missed the Corona gauging by like 6 months.

division1 03-06-2023 09:46 PM

That’s boat has been for sale for a little while it was originally 279

SB 03-06-2023 10:12 PM

Was listed right here in the OSO classifieds for a while.

This one is up there for it’s age, but every Cig is listed high these days so I’m not surprised at all

Perlmudder 03-07-2023 06:03 AM

Is it just me, or do the lowers not match?

At first I thought the same thing. After looking a little harder, I think the starboard lower had the bottom few inches knocked off from some kind of impact.

Kinda....i bet at some point the skeg was hit and bent so they cut it off and didnt bother to cut the other not thinking about symmetry.

BBYSTWY 03-07-2023 08:51 AM

What do you expect for 255k a brand new boat sheesh!! some people's kids hahahaha :party-smiley-004:

cigrocket 03-07-2023 09:40 AM

No hand in this game, but if you take the cheapest Twin Step for sale. Put a new interior and updated dash, Build 1400HP Engines and plumb them with top of the line parts and SCX Drives, How much would you have into the build. Most of the cheaper guns have high hour 525s and XRs. and run 85mph Just thoughts I guess. Not sure. Problem I see with this one, is it has to be Uninsurable.

G_money 03-07-2023 04:28 PM

I personally think the price is perfectly fine, plenty of 38 top guns with 525,s and xr's being listed at 200k with 100 or more hours, and plus this was the test/development boat for the imco scx drive so I wouldn't Dout it that IMCO maintained this boat with a open checkbook its whole life, and I bet this thing probably runs into the 117-120 mph range.

F-2 Speedy 03-07-2023 04:50 PM

why would they put it up for sale and expect top dollar with half the skeg missing, open check book ?

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...6b06ffffdb.jpg

TexomaPowerboater 03-08-2023 01:46 AM

Yeah, I can justify the price. Twin step, check. Big power that most don't have, check, Lots of detail, check. Imco SCX drives. 255K was probably new price for a top gun unlimited 2005-2008 base model with 525's and XR's. For same price you get a loved model with almost triple the horsepower and more outdrive. If the SOB flies well and runs like a raped ape who gives a care about the rest, it's worth it.

Kick ass man shop :coolcowboy::evilb:

I thought the same thing. The other lower case looks brand new. Someone definitely spent some money on this build though. Could easily be 100K in drive train here.

Is this the illustrious Rice Hauler?

scarabman 03-08-2023 07:13 AM

Best keep that bilge SUPER CLEAN/ free of debris, leaves etc.. Without filters/screens on the intake of the P Chargers, those things will be sucking up all kinds of $h!t and dumping it in your engines.

It is another 20+ year old Cig that folks think it is worth a quarter million dollars...WTF

I was thinking the same thing. If there used in a saltwater environment those superchargers/engines are not going to be happy for very long.

What changed on the decks?

jbraun2828 03-09-2023 11:44 AM

Its has more rounded lines and not such sharp corners like the prior one. New molded dash’s, stairs molded into cabin door. Started in 05 or 06.

I personally would rather have it era correct than how it sits now. Especially with the Zul’s it had in it originally 😍

funny to think at one point that boat could’ve been bought for under 125

The drives have different logos so guessing they are not a similar hour pair.

That Procharger setup has to sound insane. Motor setup is downright nasty!
