You have to watch the slide show of parts under the “Mercury parts” banner. It’s all antique 2 stroke outboard parts lol.

Is this an older part of the website? The contact is Mindi, and I thought she went to work for Randy Sweers / FB a while back?

"Poker Run Support" --- that's a thing? I guess I was naive to think that the rich guys running deep-6-figure boats were gonna be doing anything other than driving.

Uuuhhhh......whats with the Maytag repairman in the add? Really adds to that legitimate feel?

tlark 04-03-2023 12:14 AM

Hey thats a designer jumpsuite Jr Maytag is wearing, buck up $499 !!!!.

FWIW this is not a bad idea, there is a certain segment of the market on this they will capture, Not at LOTO IMO however, they wouldn't have the man power to pull it offhowever the boy racers with loads of coin will be herded. They do this sort of thing on the auto side, Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, Chevy too on the vette product. Designated track days and/or preperation services with trailer support. Not an apples to apples comparison from track to water but yea if they manage it correctly and pay the personel its succesful on the track side for cars.

Pretty positive there are those (boat owners) that do this at times. Long hauls especially.

In fact, I’m 100% on this.

Oh yea, see it at the Key West run, owner flys in, someone else has brought the boat down. They run it to the Keys, truck and trailer follow by road. After a week of partying, owner flys home and lets the crew do everything else.

When you have money you don't mess with the mundane part of boating.

The "maytag repair" man doesn`t look like he could fix anything, well maybe an election by stuffing mail in ballots.

I wish I had money. That would take some of the fun and satisfaction out of it, but would relieve ALOT of the frustration....

There are a couple guys in my area that it is a reasonable portion of their business. They are also occasionally hired to drive, so boat owner can be a passenger and just relax during the run.
