I opened Pandora's box
Well after wiping out a trans at the Rendezvous last year I figured why not check the drives since the engines were out. Well that led to new drives since TRS are no longer made, since I had the box open a little why not open it some more. I figured a couple of new oil pumps and I was good to go. Then I find someone I know was selling some PRO1 CNC heads so down a new rabbit hole. At this point I built two new engines, replaced my drives, transmissions, and now since I'm in this deep I figured with the new heads, standard deck blocks, (Original were tall deck) and new position for pipes I might as well put a transom in rather than patch it. Now I know why I got out of this hobby years ago, I can't seem to leave well enough alone.

I have been so busy with other stuff I haven’t had time to get them together. Hopefully I will get some together and post. Your new boat is sick, can’t wait to see how it runs.
Good luck on your updates. Should be cool when you're done. You going to be done in time for June run? |

Building looks great ! My wife writes the checks, she is a sweetheart. I just need to make sure I replenish it when I can. After going to the Miami show I figured it is still way more cost effective to rebuild then buy new. Plus where else can you have this much fun. |
So I didn’t see what you actually put in. What HP as you looking t making. Supercharged or NA? And what drives did you end up going with?

Since I like the lines and cabin in the cafe I figured I would just hang onto it and build a resto mod. Plus mine is one of only 3 built with the notch out of 110 |
Looking forward to seeing pics. Sounds like you are building a keeper there!. I just wanted to add that the notched transom makes a big difference top speed,...on the Bullet model anyways. Id say 3-5 MPH and honestly closer to the 5 MPH on the Bullet. I know every hull is different when it comes to how they react to mods, but the notch was definitely a "step" in the right direction! We need pics sooooon !!

Nice!
Nice shop man! I can’t say much I did the same thing when I opened up Pandora’s box on my ol Cig

I was thinking of polishing the lowers on the 6’s but couple runs and they dull up quick again. Polish and clear coat would be the ticket I’m guessing. |

I hoped to be done with this project by mid-August but I keep getting pulled away. I'm now hoping to get it done before we get snow so I can get it in the water and do some tuning. |
