Cigarette question for old timers
Do any old timers know if Cigarette made a twenty-three foot boat? I've never seen one in any old brochures from the 1960's-70's, or online. I think the 28 was the smallest one they made but not sure.

They made a 20 (son of a gun) and a 24 (Firefox) which is actually under 23’
|
Do you know what years those were made?
|
Like 71-87 ish

That's a nice boat, thanks for the replies. I was asking because I was looking at a so-called Cigarette twenty-three footer, but aside from the emblems, it doesn't look like a Cigarette. Here are pictures. Might anyone know what it really is? I'm thinking it's from the mid 1970's.

What are the first 3 hull identification number?
|
The seller said the first three say CRT but I've seen people glass in fake HIN's in the past, so not sure what it is.

It looks the 24X7 "splash" hull that Excalibur, Wellcraft/Scarab, and a couple other companies also did.
|
That’s DEFINITELY not a cigarette.

I was told this was a Cigarette when I bought it and I believed it because it had a Cigarette sticker on the hull and 2 Cigarette pillows on the berth .
What a fool I was when I found out it couldn’t even get on plane because it was under powered. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...47c4b436a.jpeg |
I guess Bill Farmer made several 24' and 27' Excalibur boats with outboards.

^^^ He is the Don Aronow of the Excalibur brand. I believe Wellcraft bought the Excalibur molds and made them their own. Many brands copied parts of Bill Farmers hulls in one way or another.
Bill Farmer is an icon in the performance boating world. There are many folks here on OSO that know way more than I do about him. TXHAWK is one of them. I bought a 40 EXCALIBUR HAWK from him years ago. Great boats with timeless lines. |
