Just Got The New One!

Picked up the 42 yesterday, and little cautious taking it home, got to get used to those steps. It was great seeing WetKitty inperson, gorgeous boat. Hope to see everyone at the Poler Run in NYC.

This is Dan from Hydro Power. It looks like you have our silencers on your boat. So I was wondering what you thought about them?

Thanks
Dan

Dan,

Just got the boat Friday, so far so good. Will keep you updated. Any suggestions to keep them looking like new?

Do you boat in salt or freshwater. If salt water use dish soap and a hose. That will cut the salt. Then dry with a cotton cloth. Nothing to coarse.

Hope this works for you

great looking cig!

correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't that boat come from Lake of the Ozarks. i think a guy by the name of John V. owned it.

Chad,

Picked it up at Martin Marine, not sure who was original owner, but was taken care of very well.

Tbonepmp 06-12-2003 10:25 AM

The gentleman who use to own it is John Vanhookstraught (sp*). He now has a 46' Cigarette, which he bought from Martin Marine. He also has a 580 Sea Ray Supersport.... pretty nice toys....

GLH,

82.3 in HOT BOAT TEST, tomorrow trying out a set of 30 LAB FINISHED will let you know the outcome. Boat run fantastic in the rough water BIG DIFFERENCE IN RIDE

Big E 06-16-2003 09:40 PM

One word says it all, BEAUTIFUL.

Panther 08-22-2003 12:19 PM

Anyone know what the ride is like on the 42' Vs. the 38. I have only been on a few 38's.

topgunrcf 08-22-2003 09:49 PM

I owned a TopGun for several years and it was a great boat, but the two run completely different, the additional length of the 42 provides much more stability, take offs and entries are much smoother. The TopGun runs more like a 911 and 42 like a 550(Maranello) You do however lose a little cockpit area in the rear of the 42. If you ever drive the 42 you be amazed at the difference.
