hey klaw......what is the fuel cap. on an 89 bullet ?
I was told 180....but that was from an 92 brochure. |
I keep mine on a lift behind the house and run it pretty low on fuel then trailer it to a gas station save about 75 cents a gallon.
so one day I am at the ramp and the boat runs out I go to the gas station put 30 gals diesel in my truck then 174 gals in the bullet. So the 180 is probably a good number The funny part of the story is I leave the gas station and forget to pay. I am cruising down the street and realize this just as I see the attendant behind me flashing her kights. Good thoing I new her it was agood laugh when I did one vacatio I did a real close milage calculation GPS miles and actual fuel used the number for me and my buddies 31 scarab excel Trip recap Miles travelled Escape Klaws-579.9 Fuel 484 MPG 1.198 Miles travelled Hydrotherapy-491.8 Fuel 359 MPG 1.37 |
Thanks klaw..........good story !! I fill up on the road also
some stations the hose is to short to reach both sides. you should see them come running when i fire up the truck to move over !:D |
Definetly 180 gallon capacity. The mfg label on the tank will indicate that.

Dono, it's the same boat I looked at, I'll guarantee it. I saw it over in Shelby Township sitting on a dual axle Myco trailer. As you saw, the boat looked pretty clean from the outside. Trailer had a couple of rust spots, but it looked like surface rust at most - plus it's a Myco!
The hull was notched. Notching the hull means that the the V doesn't go straight through from the bow to the stern - about a foot before the transom, there's an L shaped notch cut out. It lets the drives be mounted higher, reducing drag while still getting clean water to the props. Damn near every boat made has a notched transom these days. Be interested in hearing more about this boat, if you pursue it further. We considered it, but I think we're going to look into moving into a bigger house and hold off on a boat for another year or two. One thing that would concern me on the Bullet - wind protection, especially for the Admiral. I don't mind getting the wind in my face, but the Mrs liked having the option to duck behind the windshield on the Powerquest. Not sure if this is an issue for you or not, but something to think about. We all know, if Momma ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy! :D |

I know that problem I finally found a station that has pumps close enough to fill both tanks makes it tons quicker |
