Top Gun Backseat
1 Attachment(s)
We are getting ready to put a new backseat in our Gun. However, the guy says he can't put the word "Top Gun" (see below) on the seat. Where can we get this done?

Find and embrodery shop. take the skin to them before the upolsterer sews it together. Just take some measurments of the position now and then take it.

That word is pattened. You might have a problem finding a shop that will do it "under the table" otherwise you have to go thru Cig or one of there dealers Had the smae issue last year when I re-did the whole interior

Hmmm..I know the logo is trademarked but I didn't know the word/script of Top Gun was trademarked. Plus I don't see Cig using the little circle R in either the logo or the Top Gun. This makes me wonder, why can a painter paint the logo on your boat and paint Top Gun on your fairing but an embroider can't stitch it on a seat? This seems to make no sense to me.
I mean I could understand if they were stitching it on hats and selling them to make a profit, but to do it to replace it a piece of vinyl that you are replacing seems counter productive. I know whenever I use our logo for something if I don't use the little circle R with it I catch hell. |

Painting is different because a human, not a computer, paints the boat so it can be copied. Computers cut the logo's out of a pattern or font when doing apholstry. It has nothing to do with trademarks. It's for the person making the seats to use. |
