Bullet and shortened drives

Is anyone (I think Totalmp did) running shorties (bravo)on a Bullet if so what were the results and di you use extension boxes

birdog 02-20-2004 05:39 PM

Yep...totalmp has them on his bullet.....I think he said 6-7 mph., I am on the waiting list to try them from XS Marine when they get them out. I am afraid of losing rough water handling though.......We will see !

Are you looking at a pair now ?

klaw 02-21-2004 07:20 AM

I am planning on beefing up my bravos and I dont wqnt to respend beef up money if I go to shorties
I got one of the first xs marine steering systems and also had a small part in the wing plate design and would wait for therirsI will give Maxx a call
That mph number is huge if we dont lost to much
What is you x dim and I forgot what year you had Do you have a notched transon and would you put stand off ont it

birdog 02-21-2004 07:42 AM

Mine is a 89 with the notch. I dont think totalmp used boxes on his. It shouldnt be a big deal moving your guts over...just lowers,They dont seem to be the "weak" link in these POS bravos.I dont know my X..But..I know Cig planted these things LOW in the water ! I think XS was talking about making boxes also ?
