The votes were in and in my opinion it was a statical tie.

Thanks guys for all the great input!

I chose the following combo, I know some said delete the stripe but I liked it. I plan to fly down on the 9th to see it.

Oh yeah, to Craig 223, I liked your name suggestion so much, I named it "Fly by Night". If fact just documented it with the coast guard.

Found a pic of the name "Permanent Waves" on my Fountain. Probably do something similar with the script on the Gladiator.

Looks great! What about changing the grey stripe to a tribal design or a flamed stripe?

If I ask to make one more change, I believe Neill will hang me. Good suggestion BTW.

Oh Yeah, Statistical not statical or whatever I wrote, (where is spellcheck?).

How do I get the icons to show up in places other than the beginning of text? Like how GLH puts his chevy lovin little smiley faces at the end rather than the beginning. They kind of remind me of Jeff Gordon when he does that!

Nice choice...I think it will look great.....just a question though...if you documented the boat, dont you have to put the name and port of call on the back of the vessel in 3" lettering??? I was thinking of doing the same so I wouldnt have to put numbers on the boat...but then I thought of all the lettering on the back and I said the hell with it....there isnt a lot of room back there in case you havent noticed.....

Here is how BG1 did his.

PS-When are we going to Monty's?? :D :D :D

Havasu Cig 04-01-2004 11:34 AM

BG1 has a different vent on the hatch, so there is a little more room for lettering. I would talk to a good vinyl person and see what they think they can do.

When we had our Gun done I left it up to them to arrange the lettering because they do it for a living.

2112 nice choice
If you have a commercial boat documented you must have the name on port & star side letters must be no smaller then 4" in hight and not passed mid ship plus you must have boat name on the stern and your home port.

If you want a pleasure boat documented 4" in hight and you must have boat name on the stern and your home port.

It is documented as a pleasure boat.

Looks like some others have done a nice job placing the name and port on their boats

I think you made a wise choice on the graphics. How are they going to transition from the red deck to the blue hull sides w/ a smooth surface?

looks COOL!!!

I am not sure I understand what you mean....but ...you still have to put the name of the vessel and the port of call on the back regardless of whether it is a pleasure boat or not......Jeffrey's boat looks good, but I have a different hatch... as do you....and the space is really limited......any other gladiator owners out there with a pic of how they managed to get this done on a staggered set up boat???

Here is an '03 Gladiator with 525EFI staggered. Looks like the same hatch as yours?

Sure is..........thanx.....that looks pretty good......I am surprised that they were able to fit something like that in......I guess it can be done.....I called to check out the process of documenting the boat...and I was told that they were running about three months behind at this time......

2112 04-02-2004 10:33 PM

I went through a marine title company. They must have connections because there was no wait.

Or, because I am way up here in Washington state, (where we are not afraid of running Fords, GLH:D :D ) there is less of a wait with the coast guard.

More than anything, I wanted to avoid the ugly state #s on the side of the hull.
