I went to see my boat and though they painted exactly how I asked, something was just not right.

Neill told me the "classic" paint may not work on the rounded edge Gladiator. I think he was right.

In the above pic, the hatch is not on obviously. In the next pic, Note the black fade around the periphery of the blue hull sides. All the graphics have some sort of fade or "glow" if the pictures are good enough to show it.

Now just a set of Ford hemi's away from being the boat I dreamed of. I have my work cut out for me ( do all my own custom rigging).

PS GLH all my mercury accessories have yet to figure out that they are being spun by a Ford power plant.:D :D :D

Hey bro, I met you at the factory. The boat is lookin great.

Why did you go with Ford power? I am not knocking your decision. I just wondered since no one else recently has ever mentioned going with this option.

Wow, that thing looks great. I think you made the right decision on questioning the first version. The thicker grey stripe on the bottom really sharpens up the lines. Good luck with the rigging.

I love to be different. I did not go Ford, I have to do it myself, The rigging is custom to each boat. I like the rivalry between Fords and chevys too. I have the greatest respect for how the chevs have been marinized, Just want to lift the hood and see two BOSS 429s sitting in there.

This will be my third boat. I started with a Warlock, then fountain now this. All Ford powered. Next? maybe a 45 Maximus? Give me a few years first!

The only time I've seen Ford engines in water they were at the ramp in pick up trucks with lousy hand breaks!!! :D

Sydwayz 05-07-2004 11:21 AM

Looks fantasitc! Good luck! I like to be different too. We ended up with so many Sonics in my area, they were like Bajas. That's why I am gonna like my (new to me) AT.

GLH,

Just for the sake of discussion, Those Fords pictured above are built with Ford factory race parts (except carillo rods), have running for three years straight and make 860 horses at 6250 rpm. (too much for that boat)

All for less that 35K per side.;)

Go ahead GLH, let your innner "Ford self" come out and be expressed!:D :D
