BillR - I think you got ripped... when I put it through it came up as a 1992 (built in September as an 03) Bayliner with twin 4 cylinders. :p

Did Cigarette actually build 255 (or more)Top Guns through December of 1989? That's 255+ Top Guns built from January-December in the same year?

At least you guys have Hull I.D. #'s to go with. Mine was built before hull I.D. were mandatory. It's a '72; first year of the 20 footer. Tried getting information on it from Cigarette, Brownie @Stainless marine and others with no luck :(

Would like to know how many were built and by some miracle find out what build mine is.

Any help on this would be great :cool:

According to OCBARRY's advice that would be:
xex27 = 27' Cigarette/Squadron
018 = #18
05 = may
83 = built in '83

Barry's old one was an 81 and it was #14, so they didn't build to many between 81 and 83???

Where is it??? Fill me in.....

Anyone have any idea's how to find out how many of the 20's were made in '72. It was the first year and mine was registered as a 19 ft.

Any comments are welcome :D
