That is strange...on my gladiator the Port engine is the forward engine and the starboard is the rear...in that pic it appears that they have reversed that configuration...I wonder why???? Anyone know.......??
|
Re: New Cig Gladiator Seats
I was under the impression that when the starboard motor was in front it was Port steering??? Tim???
|
Re: New Cig Gladiator Seats
I would guess it is because the header on the left bank can be tucked in closer to the engine than the one on the right because of the coolant tank. Makes routing the pipes simpler and cleaner looking. Again, just my guess.

Re: New Cig Gladiator Seats
Good observation...
Hmmm. Yeah the "Starboard/drivers side engine is forward on this boat. I'm gonna go outside and look at a couple other Glads.... The standard Glad cover starts just in front of the windshield and runs to the transom... As usual... |

Chicks love our sticks
It took some time for me to convince them that they needed to make this kind of back seat in there gladiator & top gun for poker runs Rick OSG |
Re: New Cig Gladiator Seats
That engine configuration is strange.Could Cig have made a mistake or are our Gladiators obsolete?

I think it depends on which way your props are going to turn when it's designed. I could be wrong. |

Re: New Cig Gladiator Seats
By doing this they do away with the curve in the forward motor header...making it look a lot cleaner and I am sure less expensive to fabricate.....thanx Rick

Re: New Cig Gladiator Seats
Not to mention having the exhaust symetrical looking at the transom
