RE: Porp:
I've heard of the Kevlar cover girl cabins doing this, but not so much in a full cabin boat. For instance, the 97 "All keyed up" boat that Lipship had a while back. Phil said it needed the big tab in that the nose was always up. Which I believe is the reason the past owner sold it. He was accustomed to the ride of his previous full cabin TG.

We sea trailed a 96, Kevlar, Covergirl, 600 Zuls, and it needed a lot of tab. I have been in a few 96-98, Full Cabin, 600-700 HP, Fiberglass, and they seem to ride nose heavy. In those years did Cigarette go from one extreme to the other?

HavasuCig, where were you and SemperFi?

We ran down Thursday and returned to Newport Beach this morning.

San Diego has the best weather in the west.

I got 147 hours out of my XR's. They were starting to get difficult to shift, so I freshened them.

We were there on Saturday but the trip was cut short when Semper Fi blew up one of his engines in the Power Play. We ran down from Oceanside and ate lunch at the Bare Foot Bar then headed to San Diego Harbor and the motor went south inside the Harbor. He had to have his Girl Friend give him a ride back to his rig and then drive it down to the harbor to pull the boat out. The motor sounded like it dropped a valve or something.

The water outside the harbor on the way down was nice though. To bad we missed you guys. :(

Sorry to hear about G's problems ... I hope it's not serious.

We didn't go to the Barefoot Saturday. I was in the bay cruising "Big Chubby" ... funny, I got a call at the hotel from the owner asking me to bring the Big Chubby over to Seaside Village to pick him and the group who went by taxi to tour the Midway. It was cool putting around until they finished their lunch.

The ride home Sunday was , ahhh-hmmm , kinda big .... everyone made it back safe and sound ... no breakdowns.

Question - What would a lunch run to Oceanside Harbor be like? Any docks to use for a couple of hours?

G
