It is a 1979 and is in portland right now. Any info would be appriciated. Also is anyone in the area to take a look at it? Thanks

The picture looks good.

I'm in Australia now so I can't help...but I will be flying into Portland the 3rd week of August. If you can't get anyone to look at it before then let me know. If you are serious about buying it I will try to arrange to visit and take some digital photos for you.

I'm a bit skeptical of the 72 MPH claim.. Heavy boats, ride great, handle well, but you knew that already :)

If the engine is a potent naturally aspirated BBC....72 mph isn't all that far fetched.

That is not a bad price for a 20' cig they are getting hard to find.

I have the same one it runs 60-62 mph w/454 330 hp a full pack of fun

Here are some pic's of it with in the next 2 weeks I am sending it to lip ship to redo it to look like my gladiator

Damn, your as bad as I am. I'm doing the same thing with a 20 foot Formula to make it look like my 302. Only difference, I have to do it myself instead of Lipship. :(

Oh, and the Zul is another difference! :)

Formula.
The Porters had (might still) an 18' (?) Formula from the early 60's in the front showroom of the factory in Decatur (IN).

Think Don borrowed :evilb: a plug of same hull when he sold out and started Donzi (Sweet 16, 18, 22).
Heard that Don may have borrowed  another plug when started Cig.

What is the beam on the Hornet?
The stakes look similar, but the hornet appears to have a lot more free board.

Just Uncle Ernie's $0.02. :chimp:
