Hopefully Getting 2005 20 footer

Hey guys, I was the factory Sat. and saw the new one for the first time. This place is awsome 1,000 times cleaner than the old plant. While I was there I discussed the option of biulding a 05 Son of a Gun if Cigarette would do it. Hopefully they will give me the green light.

Guys, Skip the owner of Cigarette called me yesterday, and they won't built it because of the price. I found one that was done over at the factory by Cigarette though. This boat has new interior Hawk 555 ci motor putting out 680hp! The boat is supposedly so fast its out of control, that for me!

I kinda thought it would be tough. I wanted to get a new 28 built years ago. Same situation. I just found a really clean 28 and redid it to spec instead.

i think i saw that 20 at the factory a couple of years ago. it was under big tarp and looked like it had a huge hatch scoop...wonder where it went?

i wish someone would explain why it is so expensive to build this boat...cause i just dont get it...the only part i see that makes this boat difficult to build is glassing the hull and deck together...

it also begs the question about the donzi classics...if it is so costly to build, why does donzi continue??? I've often seen th3e 20 compared with the 18 and 22 Classics some say the 20 handles rough water better, while others disagree. I for one would like to see new 20 built to todays standards and see how it does...

Skip...if you're out there...hire me...i'll build it... :)

If cig was to build the 20, it would probably cost 100K.

nah...you could build it for alot less...they just choose to price themselves out of the market...

Would cig even build the hull and deck?
Then have someone (TNT?) rig it?

If you were cig, would you pull men of the TG TS line to do a 20?
Maybe the could do a light weight cutdown version of the 28, as a sitdown model.
Kinda like the SquadronXII 27 was.

They made them a few year ago. Here are pictures from the Miami show in I believe 2001.
