I`m heading out to work on it some more today. I want to get the bottom all buffed out by the time the trailer gets here.

Thanks for the compliment. So far the plan is for new 3As and I have my eye on a couple of engines that a friend of mine has. I have a long road ahead of me but I am really fired up on this project. I hope that I can stay that way.

Post #14 said it all but you must have missed it. He is going with new 3As and buying power from a friend.

Here is an update...
On Oct 14th, I took delivery of my new Myco. It is an 18,000# capacity aluminum tri axle with disc brakes on all six wheels. It also has a drive guard. So much for the list of options. Last Sunday I, with the help of my cousin Tom, carefully lowered it on the trailer using a borrowed set of yard jacks. Before we started, I took the trailer to the grain elevator and had it weighed. The results were a bit surprising in that it only weighed 2320 pounds! 580 pounds lighter than anticipated!
The next step is to get the brakes wired up and haul the boat across the scale to find out how much it weighs.
Here are a few pictures of the trailer and the boat.
