Are you talking about a staggered Top Gun? If so, there were only 5 made. Bill Proctor has one, "thedonz" has one, Lip-Ship had one, and there are two more out there, but I don't know which ones.

I would assume all 5 have big power. Bill Proctor's has 1200 Cobras, "thedonz's" has 1000HP Tyler Crocketts, and the Lip-ship has 850 Zuls.

You forgot about "NEXT". It was sold early this year and was renamed. In fact, we need an update on that boat. Anyone seen it?

Doug said he had it out for the first time last week or so. So there is #4, anyone know #5?

Pretty sure Rat is side by side, or it was at one time anyway. I ran in a poker run with him in '96 here in the states and thats what I seem to recall. The owner lived in Australia, so the boat may still be over there.

I know Jeffrey ( Board God #1 ) did some audio installation work on it in the late 90's, so it sounds like the boat does occasionally come stateside.

Betty and I bought her last December. 950 hp Donavon's, #5's on boxes. Been on a small local reservoir a few time to work out some bugs and finally made a good run on Lake Michigan. This weekend a fun run with COPS on Lake Michigan and then Lake Cumberland Poker Run. This thing is a beast compared to are Mistress that we still have For Sale.
Still looking for a poster of my boat if anyone has one. PLEASE

What years did Cigarette make the staggered 38?

Doug, what year is that boat?
There was one similar to it in LI NY back in the early 90's.

Re: Staggered 38

There were more staggered 38's made that went overseas. CB talked of at least 5 "90mph Editions" built. That number doesn't include the other staggered 38's out there.

Actually, that one is not a Top Gun. It was a race boat with 3 pack and was converted here in So Cal to a 6 pack. They moved the whole dash and fairing forward. It was done for Randy Davis. Here is a pic Randy's boat and engines.

There was one for sale in the powerboat magazine classifieds a month or so ago. It was a very small ad without pics. The boat had blower motors and #5 drives I believe. I think the guy was asking 129k.

I think a guy bought it that resides in the British Virgin Islands. He does development/construction there. He purchased it out of Lip-ships @ Spinaker/tnt N.Miami and was having it sent to the Islands last March, from what I was told. I actually saw it in Feb,07 @ Lip-ships shop. A top notch staggered set up truly remarkable rigging thru-out. Mint condition a real jewel ! Call them "Phil" @ Lip.they prob. know all the info. The guy that bought it has had quite a few Cig's over the years. From what I understand, trades em-in from time to time.;) J good luck !
