Cigarette Tiger owners

I hope there are a Cigarette Tiger in my near future but I am a little concerned about the Bravo drives on these big boats. I want a TS with at least 575 SCI´s or bigger motors but I fear it will cost the same in Bravo´s as it costs in fuel to run. What is your experience with this. I would prefere #6 drives but as far as I know only the new X Tigers come with #6 drives and at 400.000$ they are way out of my league. I could also chose a non step boat but I just feel that 800 - 900 HP blowermotors needs to be rebuild too often.

Let me hear all your opinions on this to help me make the right choice.

Thanks

I have an '02 t/s Tiger with 575SC's on a fresh water lake. I never hammer the throtles but I do run the boat. Seen 86-87 on gps in 1 1/2 chop. Water here is respectively smooth. Greater chop may produce another mile or two top end, not sure. Have notice the gear lube needs to be changed more frequent than the service manual says. I am now changing every 25 hours with engine oil changes. Other than having a cap screw come loose on the shifter cam (fluke, no loctite from mercruiser) I have had no problems.

86-87? It may be the fresh water and no chop but my boat in salt water with some chop hit 81 gps on the recall with just my son in the boat (15 years old 125lbs)and 1/4 of a tank. The boat did 82.3 when it was featered in hot boat in 2001. We're runnign stock bravo 28's. what props are u running? Figured with 575's youd be doin around 88 or somewhere around that.

topgunrcf, fresh water is more dense, salt is more buoyant. I am running non-labbed Bravo 1 30's. I would expect 88 or better in salt water. Plus you can always find the right chop, maybe in the 2-4' range to give you that extra lift.
