Cig Interior
Almost afraid to ask...
If someone was looking to upgrade an older cig with the new bolsters, rear bench, windscreen and the new style hatch what would one expect to pay> |
Re: Cig Interior
I am guessing by the lack of responses...
If you have to ask you can't afford it? |
Re: Cig Interior
I replaced my 97 TG Cig hatch with the new raised deck and got a real bargain and it was still north of 10 g's. I imagine the bolsters gotta run 3 g's plus each. The bench? Wow, not a clue.
Could be one of those cases where you look at upgrading with another Cig. |
Re: Cig Interior
Thanks, I was figuring about $20K for the whole deal but I might be a little light it sounds.

Re: Cig Interior
Man thats gonna to cost you. I can't give you a super accurate estimate, but plan on 15,000+ possibly 20+ for the items you listed. The hatch and bolsters are expensive. The rear bench will depend on what you are going for as far as the design. All of the above will have to have upholstry, even the base of the windscreen.
I've rebuilt boats and done some pretty extensive upgrades to the current boat, and it ain't cheap! If you don't have Cigarette do it, do your homework on who you decide to have spec the job. Sometimes the initial estimate can end up looking like a deposit once your boat is in pieces, and you can't turn back. |

VB, are you talking about buying all new?? I assume you have the old stuff, consider re-doing it? Take a look at my website to see what I have done to many older Cig interiors. Including re-doing the bolsters to look more like the new style. All for alot less than you think.
Give me a call or send me an email to discuss if you like. BTW did you end up buying another Cig???? John www.sunriseuph.com |
Re: Cig Interior
Lakeluvr, nice site and even nicer work! I'm wondering what it would cost to do the most current update on the rear bench with the pop out arm rests and semi wrap for three in the back?? Again, your work looks awesome!!

Re: Cig Interior
You can find alot of the stuff used. Tres at Martin Marine
has back seats and bolsters come up all the time. I just saw a newer hatch for sale in either the classified or swap section. If you can find a good fiberglass person they could duplicate that hatch using the old one. |
Re: Cig Interior
Hi John,
No I haven't yet. I keep looking at newer cigs but can't find what I want for the kind of $$ they want and the older ones all seem to need some updates so I am considering finding a solid hull and redoing it and trying to put a plan together. My old boat was in too good of shape to start over with it so I keep looking. If I find something I am sure we will be talking so keep a sharp pencil :D Mike |
