Re: Head
Get ahold of Martin Marine. I'm sure Tres/Jackie can help you. If not let me know. I have a couple of bullets. I'm pretty sure they are made just for Cig. Whats wrong with the one you have?

Re: Head
Sorry don't know about the bullet but my TG had a standard small jabsco unit. It was disasembled and the pump moved to allow for clearance.
Martin Marine has been my source of info too. Always helpful. |
Re: Head
Brownie just said last week in a thread that the bowls for the Bullet head were made in house. You might want to contact him or Scott Smith, he probably snagged a few of them as well on his way out the door!! :D :D :p

Re: Head
If it's stained (no pun intended) it can easily be repainted as I did with the '89. The bottom of the drain on the '88 is steel that rust's, the '89 is plastic. Crappy job to replace that but very simple.
Also, since you have that out you may want to check out the holding tank. It is probably corroded and needs to be replaced. The company that makes them are still in biz. There is a mfg label on the top of the tank and they'll send one to your door. |
Re: Head
Hey Cig 1988,
Yes, it is the steel on the bottom of the bowl that has rust. Do you know where I can find a plastic one to replace or new steel? Thanks |
Re: Head
You'll need to remove the assy and take it to home depot or a plumbing supply. Should have either plastic or brass. If not a marine supply store as west marine.
As far as the rust stain, clean the unit really good and scuff with scotch bite pad. I usually paint with imron but if thats not possible, get rust oleum "proffesional grade" white gloss. Do not use the other rust oleum because it does'nt dry as fast between coats. You can simply tape up the 2 water discharges on each side or remove them. I taped mine up and cant tell. How's the holding tank? |
Re: Head
Thanks Cig 1988,
I don't know how the holding tank looks, I plan to tackle the project during the winter. Thanks |
Re: Head
Since you have the bowl out, would be good time to tackle that as well. You need to remove the strorage compartment to the right of the sink. Crappy job, wear gloves. Hope this helps, Stan

Re: Head
Stan,
In the event that I need a new holding tank, where do I buy one? Evan |
