Gas Tanks
There are 2 gas tanks in the Bullet. Does each engine run off of there own dedicated tank or is there some common line that feeds both engines. I was just woundering because one of my tanks was so much fuller than the other.
Thanks |

Re: Gas Tanks
My '94 Bullet has each tank feeding an engine and there is a crossover valve on each tank.

Re: Gas Tanks
How about the fuel pump switchs on the dash. I have 2 of them. Does it matter if they are on or off. I have been running with them in the off position and it runs fine? Just wondering what would happen if I run with them in the on position??

In my Top Gun the electric pumps kicks in if the fuelpressure gets to low and the mechanical pumps canīt keep up. Show me a picture of the forward part of your engineroom and I will tell you if you have the electrical pumps. Cigaretteman |

Re: Gas Tanks
check for cross over hoses under the electronic pumps in the engine copartment, there should be several ball valves that control fuel.

Re: Gas Tanks
When I'm on the boat I just keep mine on all the time. The power is cut to them when you turn the keys off so it doesn't matter. I just turn them off when the boats stored.
Speaking of fuel issues....How hard is it to "re-plumb" so to speak, the fuel gauges?? Mine are WAAAAY off. I'd like them to be at least slightly accurate. |

Not difficult L.S. |
Re: Gas Tanks
Does anybody have any detailed info or pics on changing the floats??
|
Re: Gas Tanks
Just pop the access panel off thats under your rear seat (rectangular). You'll see the fuel line assemblies and access screws for the floats on each tank.

Re: Gas Tanks
Where can I get new floats that work with SW gauges?
|
Re: Gas Tanks
You have to see which style you have. Its not nec a SW float. Some of them are rather generic. See what you have and we may be able to get them for you.
Thanks |
