Toilet levers
In a Bullet I'm confused how the levers that work the toilet work. I have 2 yellow handles and one lever that controls the overboard/ holding tank. When I flush I can't see anything coming out overboard? I'm not sure how the 2 yellow levers work. I know ones for fresh water on/off but not sure how they work. Please advise.
Thanks |
Re: Toilet levers
Its not supposed to go overboard...its supposed to go into the holding tank....when you flush.....

Thanks PM me your address and I will mail you the schematics for the Bullet head system and electrical. Include your email address also...I have them scanned into my PC but they are easier to read on paper! :drink: :drink: Craig |
Re: Toilet levers
OK,
I received everyones PM's and will email the schematics out on Tuesday when I go back to work. In the meantime, this is what the owners manual says: To flush waste into the holding tank. 1. Open the small (water inlet) valve. 2. Close the large outlet valve. 3. Move Y-Valve handle towards the inside of the boat. 4. Press both buttons in the head after doing your "business". To empty Holding Tank at the dock. 1. Close the small (water inlet) valve. 2. Open the large outlet valve. 3. Move Y-Handle towards the inside of the boat. 4. Connect shoreside vacuum to waste deck fill on the starboard side of deck. To flush waste overboard. (Illegal within 3 miles of land) 1. Open small (water inlet) valve. 2. Open large outlet valve. 3. Move Y-Handle towards the inside of the boat. 4. Press the bottom button in the head. To empty Holding Tank overboard. (Illegal within 3 miles of land) 1. Close small (water inlet) valve. 2. Open large outlet valve. 3.Move Y-Valve handle to the outside of the boat. 4. Press both buttons in the head. I hope this helps Craig |

Re: Toilet levers
I don't want to hijack this thread, but does anyone how the heck the toilet works in a '95 Cafe?
There are two buttons. One seems to flush some blue stuff into the toilet, the other doesn't seem to do anything. Where does the blue sh!t come from, how do I refill it? Where the does the blue sh!t go? How do I empty the sh!t? How do I make it disappear, assuming I'm 3 miles offshore? I need to get this figured out. Thanks! :) |
Re: Toilet levers
Nick,
If the Cafe is anything like the Bullet Head, the top button draws in water from the outside. Isn't the water blue in Florida? :D :p The bottom button operates the macerator pump. Maybe yours isn't hooked up or it's not working. That is located under the lounge on the starboard side of the cabin on the Bullet. Just a guess! Craig :drink: |
Re: Toilet levers
...not THAT blue. :D :D
I'm not sure on the seawater draw. I haven't tried it in the water yet, just on land. |
Re: Toilet levers

Under the stbd cushion are 2 valves. You need to open the small one for water in, the other one is out for waste, before any thing will work. Pour a little water in the bowl to prime, and then push the flush button to send water to the holding tank. Push both buttons to empty the tank overboard. The pumps are under the drivers footrest if you need to replace a pump or want to inspect the holding tank for leaks. I had to replace my pump. It wont work if your not in the water or dont supply water to the inlet. Dan |
Re: Toilet levers
Thanks Dan. That's perfect.
Only question: Which stbd cushion? In the cabin? |
Re: Toilet levers
Nick
In my boat its the bottom cushion foward of the cooler well. If you look under the boat you'll see 2 water pickups on the stbd side. Check your PM's. Dan |
