I have Heinz Meis at Gemballa on speed dial, we are thinking about doing his 650 hp package on a X-50 coupe :evilb: ...For $10k I can get the ECU/Exhaust upgrades to 550-580hp without the body mods and be a wolf in sheeps clothing :D I don't like the PCCM brakes on the '05 model so my dealer is looking for a brand new left over '04.

I saw that "gun at the Factory last week. It is BAD AZZ in living color. They told me most orders are now going the way of the split bolsters.

This one would be my choice if I was gonna buy another pleasure boat.

Whats the deal with the first pic...couldn't they wait until they stuffed the wires behind the fiberglass. The boat looks great....but I'm a traditionalist... A TG is 38'

I hear ya, but the principal of the 39 is to allow them to stagger the motors properly without cutting into cockpit space to much.

How can you say they aren't doing well performance wise? The Lip-Ship 39' Unlimited with N/A 700 Zuls ran 102mph.

They also made a few changes inculding the steps in the cabin door (like the Tiger & Rough Rider), the re-designed cabin, new dash, and the new style backseat.

I think they made a big step with this boat, however, I don't think they should have incorperated "Top Gun" in it. They should have called it a 39' Unlimited.

I stoped by Hideaway on Friday. Very nice set-up. They had the 39' outside on a trailer along with the boat show 42' Tiger. They had about 5 or 6 Cigs on the racks including "American Muscle." Nice set-up :cool:

Cigarette needs to get off their ass and spend some time redesigning the bottom. These boats turn like crap... you can make the top half look however nice you want but the hull needs work. Hey Skip, how about a boat that can turn safely...............

Got her out yesterday for the first run. I will post some pics. Interesting to say the least. The boat is a lot faster than I anticipated. We did not do any turning though!!!!

I don't think this problem is exclusive to Cigarette design.....

However, I was thinking yesterday. What other boat on the market has made a 'half cabin' (cover girl on the cig) to counter for hull design??? It's my understanding they took the front of the cabin out to let the nose ride higher because the step design makes the boat ride 'wetter' or 'bow heavy'. To me that sounds like a bad design. Why can't you have a full cabin in the new TS Cig's?? Can you even order a full cabin in a new Cig (Tiger, R/R, or Gun)?

I think it's a waste to pay all this cash for a boat that only has half of a cabin that is basically useless. And I'm not saying the cabin needs to be there for over nighting and what not because let's face it...Who does that?! But I LOVE the 90's cabin design with the large ice chest built in and small table, etc. It's a user friendly design that invites a party atmosphere and makes the whole boat more accessable. To me, it is the best cabin design I've ever seen in any boat of it's size.

Just thinking out loud here and as many of you know, I'm the last person to knock Cig, I just don't understand the logic is all.

I like the new 39. Staggered motors w/enclosed head...perfect. The side by side bolsters are also growing on me. Only thing I didn't care much for were the grab handles, looks like those could hurt :eek:

This one came with out the "Love Bolsters" !!!!

She'll get used to the handles .... just go slow and use some lube first !!! :D

Those "Love Bolsters" are what provide the lubrication for those "unexpected" short stops on the handles :drink:

So with the split bolsters did they move the cabin door center?

I like everything but the new dash, looks like a Maytag washer and dryer sitting in there. The dash seems like it sits up to high.
The old style painted panels is still my choice.
Dont like the rear seat with those hand holds either.
The 42X is the best appointed model they have currently.
