Strang hoses found in bilge

When draining my blocks, I found strange hoses connected to the left side of the block where the drain plugs are supose to be. These hoses ran to the back of the bilge in the wire buldles and ran up toward the cockpit and then I lost track of them. Does any body know why these hoses are connected to the block and where they run to? The size of the hoses are 1/2 inch. I think somewhere water goes down these hoses and runs into the block drain plug. Is it some sort of fresh water flush or drain? This is on a Cig Bullet 88 with 420 HP's There are separte hoses atttached to the left side of each engines block drain plug hole????? My mechanic is stumped???

Water pressure hoses going to your water pressuer guages?

Thanks Bob, but no. They go right into the left side of the engine block where the drain plug goes. Its strange.

Water pressure would be my guess.
Do you have water pressure gauges ?

No, I don't have water pressure gauges. But would that be the correct place to attach the water pressure sender. Also, there is no sender just a hose connection.

The drain area would be fine for water pressure, and old style mechanical guages used a hose and not a sender, my guess would be water pressure also.

Ok, Majority rules. I guess I will go with water pressure. Its strange may mechanic didn't know. Thanks for your help.

Pull your gauge cover they might end up there and just be plugged if you don't have the gauges.

Look for a new mechanic.

Sounds like water pressure to me, good luck

Thats where my water pressure guages are connected.

Definetly water pressure hoses. If you go into the head, sit on the bowl and look to the left. Remove the panel directly behind the helm. You should be able to see the hoses and unless someone removed the water pressure gauges and plugged the ends. Alot of times those hoses get plugged up and if they are connected to a psi gauge, run some compressed air thru them. I've had them so plugged up I had to run a wire thru them from the bildge side.
