A 1995 that looks like it may be supercharged. Looks like # 3 speedies also. This boat familiar to anyone? says Mass. on the stern. Anyone in St. Augustine area on 2/24/05 willing to call me? Wannabe |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
Dont know it.
Big hatch ! |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
Was for sale a couple years back at Martin'ls if I recall...
Had wierd power and 3's or 3a's |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
I remember that boat from Martins website. I believe that it had some 900 or 1000 HP Carolina Engines. Maybe you can call Tres and ask him, I'm sure he will remember the boat.

Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
I made several offers on that boat through Tres a year or more ago. Obviously, I did not buy the boat. We were so close, but it has regular #3 Drives. These are not 3A's.....that's why I finally passed.
The boat was up North at the time and I never saw it in person. It was supposed to be very clean, but that was when it only had 60 hours. |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
That's "No Moe Dough" It was at the Cigarette reunion back in '01. The boat was very nice, all the best stuff. During the poker run, I was in SpineTickler, a 38 TS with 575's and we ran with him for a while. It was very fast for a straight bottom Top Gun, we'd just start to pass him and he'd lay on more throttle and pull away. I'd say it was an honest mid nineties boat.
I'm very surprised to see it's been reposessed. The guy who owned it owns quite a few fast food restaurants in the Boston area. He bought it new and spent lots of money on big power. The boat was very clean and looked like it was manitained with an open check book. Should be interesting to see what it will go for. Kurt |

Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
I was told honest 86 MPH top speed with about 6psi. I think it is Kevlar not glass, that's why I was interested. The drives are the biggest dilemma in my book. I don't think there's a pad on the race hatch either.

Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
I went and looked at that boat yesterday. It was seized in June or July of 2004 and has been sitting there since. It is very, very dirty. The boat has Gray interior (good condition, but ugly). If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
No, the hatch is not set up for a sunpad from what i see. It's an ugly hatch too.
# 3's drives. No trailer, what would someone bid up to? $ 75-80k ?? Wannabe |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
Found old docs. This should give you an idea. In November of 2003 the price was $125,000.00 with trailer. However, engine hours were only 58. I also thought the interior was ugly and the graphics are not much better in pics.
Still, in my opinion $80,000.00 would be quite a steal with those engines......even with # 3's. It's better than a stock TRS or Bravo boat. Price out updating a 454ci TRS hull. Then again, I don't understand why the older big power Cigs seem to have taken a bath lately in the market   |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
So who bid on this Top Gun Friday??? Anyone?????
|
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators

WOW......that sounds cheap !!!! |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
$72k...
Well add for the following; -engines are a complete gamble -no trailer -no one to call and b!tch when something goes t!its up -drives are a complete gamble-if the boat was repoed the maintenance in the end might of been suspect. If he's lucky on the engines and drives it's a deal if not he's easily back to market price for a 1995. And maybe more. |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
Its not so much what you pay for a boat.
Its how much you have to spend on it after you own it ! All of a sudden the great deal is not so great when your done. You usually get what you pay for !! L.S. |
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
Has the boat sold yet ?
|
Re: Cigarette at National Liquidators
Yes it was sold on auction day, ye you are right i guess
if does engines are damaged in some way it would cost big $ to fix them. Does anyone know how many hours such engines are expected to hold up? say 900- 1000Hp even with good maintanance Viktor |
