Does anyone have a Cigarette with A/C? If so do you recommend it?

I have have a few friends with AC in there boats.

If you boat in anything rough, descent waves usually rattles the thing out of function pretty fast.

I got one in my Cafe. Put in in last winter. Works awsome, haven't had any problems with it yet. Been in some big water with it also. My lady loves it.

Do you know what brand you have? Do you also have a generator?

i have a/c and a generator. dont use it very much but when i do its great. never have to worry about a dead batt, you know when you play the radio too loud in the coves, and when your overnighting and it gets too hot. i have cruise air, i think thats what most cigs have from the factory. im not too sure about what brand the gen is, its been painted over a few times. heres my take on the a/c. if you want a/c you need a generator, unless you only run it off of shore power. with the gen and the a/c it takes up so much space in the bilge. like i said i can live without it, but it was there and in very good shape when we bought the riig. both units are not cheap to install. cigarette put my stuff in so i could only imagine. i could look deep into the file to find out but im sure a call would be just as easy. good luck in your venture stecz

GO Mermdaid... No genset and will run off a good deep cysle for 6-8 hours at 6000Btu's or at the dock plug it into the shore power and your golden. Perfect for a sport boat. I'd set it up to run on a separate battery...

I put in a Mermaid 9000btu heat/AC on shorepower only. Works great. The unit sits on isolaters so it doesnt get beat up in the rough. Very good unit. Parts were about $2K
