Never actually seen one.....replaced the prop-rod in mine with a set of gas-assist cylinders.
Would be kinda cool though. :chimp:

Re: 20 Cigarette engine hatch power lift

I use a Bennett hydraulic hatch lift that has a 24" lifting ram. The ram is mounted to an L bracket on the stringer on the fuel pump side of the motor. I have a well on the opposite side. This allowed the ram to clear my mercruiser/gil exhaust and maintain a good angle of the lift ram. As for the hatch attachment I mounted a block of 1" thick aluminum to the hatch that allowed me to countersink the hatch ram bracket screws and give me more space to screw into the hatch. I did not want to drill holes in the hatch to mount the ram bracket. I am extremely pleased with this setup.

Randy -

That sounds pretty good. Do you have any pictures? What I was kind of thinking is possibly getting a 38 Cig hatch ram and modifying it. I wonder if anyone on the board has a spare for sale?

Contact Ryan Beckley on Oso. He's selling some lifts.

These photos will give you a better idea of my setup. I would have been happier if I could have placed the ram in the center but I was restricted due to the limited space in front of the engine. Hope this helps! If you have any ideas please let me know?
