42 X with Triple 525's

I am considering taking the plunge and joining the Cig family. Currently debating the purchase of a 42 X with triple 525's. I am curious on any feedback about the boat. From what I have read should be close to 90 mph, but am interested in handling and if the extra weight gives it any bad habits. Other than the obvious, increased cost, increased maintenance, increased chance of breakage, how does it compare with a 42 Tiger with twin 525's. Any input would be appreciated.

You Michigan guys could tear up a hammer! :D :D

The 42-X was a nice improvement. They ride flatter than a Tiger T/S and the hull is a little faster. You will have no problems with outdrives on a 525 setup, unless you live in Michigan. :D :D

Are you looking at a new boat? Do you want Tripples or willing to consider twin staggered setup with #6's. If so let me know, I know of a great deal on a new boat!

I am not opposed to a staggered set up, but I really want a relatively reliable setup that can handle some hours (Manatee Zones  ). I like the sixes, but not sure I want the big power associated with them. Thanks for the information.
